Pierre Elliott Trudeau died 9 years ago on September 28, 2000
so I decided to do this drawing. He was the 15th Prime Minister of Canada
from April 20, 1968 to June 4, 1979, and from March 3, 1980 to June 30, 1984.
Jimmy Carter and Fidel Castro were pallbearers at his funeral.

Remembering a Canadian Hero and his Marathon of Hope
yesterday was the 29th annual TERRY FOX run.
It is hard to believe he began his marathon of hope that long ago. I was able to meet him on the highway then on his run. What an amazing young man.
I had to do this sketch to remember him
